I love to garden and I especially love a garden that is a bit wild. Cabbages mixed in with the calendulas and the roses all underplanted with herbs, especially rosemary...really, there is nothing so lovely as a red or orange rose with blooming blue rosemary surrounding it!

I've been traveling this Fall season. I am working on a new crochet project, but that post will have to wait for now because I must share some pictures and a bit about my trip. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year! Unfortunately, we don't have much of this season here in the south, so I jumped at the chance to travel north for two weeks in October.

I lived for several years in Canada when I was a little girl, and this was the candy I ate: pure maple syrup sugar. I did not find any while I was in Canada on this trip and was dismayed that maybe it had become a thing of the past. To my delight, I found them when I was least expecting to. I bought three boxes. The sugar is shaped into small molds about the size of a quarter and emerge shaped as leaves, hearts, beehives, shells and fleur-de-lys among others.

So...we've rented a summer place and the owner installed these rather cheap window coverings, i.e., plastic miniblinds (yuck). I hate them. They don't work well and they just gather dust. The way the furniture is situated, the sun comes right through gaps in the top of the window between the window facing and the blind. The sun hits the TV screen and the dining table just as we sit down to eat and then watch the evening news and our favorite game show. Yes, we watch Jeopardy =)

We are scuba divers...my husband and I and about two dozen of our friends and family. We regularly travel together for the primary purpose of diving. We have traveled all over the world to dive but we also enjoy learning about different cultures, trying new foods and meeting the local people.

It’s French and sounds like…well, you know what it sounds like. I have one, a tattoo, that is. Some people wear their heart on their sleeve; mine is on my foot. I began as a scrap of creamy flannel. My maker thought of me as a prototype. I turned out differently than she first suspected I would. My bottom ends rather abruptly in a line. My eyes, though a lovely brown, are uneven. And my mouth! I must say…it’s obtuse, like I can’t decide if I’m smiling or what. She says she was going for “pensive”. And I ask, “What bunny EVER looks pensive?”

I bought this shirt for my husband several years ago. It was rather a rash buy. He's not usually into purple or flowers on his shirt. He actually wore it a few times and the color looked good on him. But after awhile, he admitted that it just didn't fit him well, not his style nor his body type; the color, the print and the slim fit just were not working out.
